4 PM Reception / 5 PM Performance

In honor of Israel’s 70th anniversary, The Breman Museum and The Atlanta Jewish Music Festival are partnering with the Israeli Consulate to bring one of Israel’s hottest acts, Yemen Blues, to Atlanta.

Conceived from rising Israeli star Ravid Kahalani’s vision, Yemen Blues’ original music mixes Yemeni and West African influences with contemporary grooves, from funk to mambo, and the deep soul of old Mizrachi chants. Khalani grew up in a traditional Jewish Yemenite family, and brings the language and rhythm of his origins together with Blues, Funk, Classic Operatic singing, North African soul, and Middle Eastern textures.

Conjuring up a rich and diverse aural palette, Yemen Blues coexists in both the past and the present, at once timeless and modern. The collective is a true collaboration of top master musicians.
