Join us for this special Studio Earth art workshop with artist Randy Taylor and create a 'healing book' dedicated to planet earth.

The Otami People of Mexico have healers called curanderos, that create healing books. These accordion fold books are made out of amate, pounded bark paper, filled with cutouts that represent healing rituals. We will brainstorm ideas of things that we can do to assist in the healing of planet earth, create symbolic cutouts and attach the cutouts to an accordion book. The healing book will be comprised of paper cutouts of wishes and actions to assist the planet in its health.

RSVP Required Cick Here | Free

After a group discussion where ideas will be shared, we will create an accordion fold book for healing our planet. The pages will be comprised of paper cutouts depicting images of healing thoughts, prayers and blessings to go out to our planet Earth.

Supply list: • Cereal box or poster board • Construction paper or copy paper of various colors, or grocery paper bags • Fine tip markers, colored pencils or crayons • String, ribbon, or yarn – one piece16” • Masking tape or transparent tape • Scissors • Glue stick and white glue
