This exhibition highlights the oldest Georgia-based Jewish non-profit from inception to present through photography and stories. The story of the Jewish Education Loan Fund (JELF) spans three centuries starting as an orphanage in the late nineteenth century, it grew to become an important social service agency in the twentieth century, then a financial aid fund that continues to thrive today. This exhibition tells a powerful story of how philanthropy and a deep commitment to education can transform the community and leave a profound legacy.
The Official Opening Event will be Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 6PM. Held at The Breman Museum.
