Jewish Genealogical Society Meeting

JGSG Panel Discussion

Todd Knowles works as a member of the International Patron Services team at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, and volunteers as president of the Utah Jewish Genealogical Society.

When he was introduced to family history at the age of 12, Todd filled out his first pedigree chart. One name on the chart caught his eye. It was Morris David Rosenbaum, and since then, he has been trying to find out everything that he can about his Jewish roots.

The journey to find these Polish Jews has led to the creation of the Knowles Collection (knowlescollection.blogspot.com), 6 databases that as of May 1, 2016, contain the genealogical records of over 1.4 million people.

At this October meeting we will watch a video of Todd’s presentation at the 2016 IAJGS Conference titled, “Getting the Most Out of FamilySearch for Jewish Research.”

Free for Members. Non-Members, participation in this event is included in the cost of general museum admission.
