The Breman Museum will present a book talk featuring Bruce Feiler, author of The New York Times bestseller Life Is in the Transitions: Mastering Change at Any Age, at 7 PM Wednesday, December 2. This Zoom talk is free, preregistration is required, Feiler will be interviewed by Bill Nigut, host and executive producer of GPB-FM’s Political Rewind show.
Life Is in the Transitions speaks to the moment in a way even more specific than author and Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington meant when she called it “one of those books that’s so profoundly aligned with the zeitgeist that you end up underlining the whole book.”
Feiler began his intensive research long before COVID-19 slowed the globe’s roll. Galvanized by a personal crisis, the author of The New York Times bestsellers The Secrets of Happy Families and Council of Dads, spent the last few years crisscrossing the country, collecting hundreds of life stories in all 50 states from Americans who had been through major life changes. He then spent a year coding these stories, identifying patterns and takeaways that can help all of us survive and thrive in times of change.
