WATCH THE RECORDING BELOW
In commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Weinberg Center for Holocaust Education at the Breman Museum and The Consulate General of Israel to the Southeast United States will present a virtual speaking engagement and discussion with Holocaust Survivor, George Rishfeld. Born in Warsaw, Poland, Mr. Rishfeld was tossed as an infant over the barbed wire fence of the Vilna Ghetto into the waiting arms of a family friend who, in a true act of heroism, hid him until the end of the Holocaust. Join us as he shares his family’s extraordinary story of rescue and resilience.
Sponsored by the Office of the Provost at Georgia State University, Georgia State University Hillel, and Hillels of Georgia, the program will be hosted by the Director of the Weinberg Center, Rabbi Joseph Prass and will feature introductory remarks provided by Consul General of Israel to the Southeast, Anat Sultan-Dadon . An opportunity for Q&A will follow Mr. Rishfeld’s presentation, moderated by the Speaker of the Georgia State University Student Senate, Ira Livnat.
