Chasing Dreams

This pop-up exhibition weaves together America’s favorite pastime, baseball, and its role in creating a national identity. This traveling exhibition highlights the story of Jewish immigration and diverse communities and how they are integral to baseball’s role in teaching American culture. Through films, footage, photographs, and a database of American Jewish ballplayers, Chasing Dreams: Baseball and Becoming American explores how baseball historically played a crucial role in understanding, and sometimes challenging, what it means to be American.
