The Breman Museum is proud to partner with the Atlanta Jews of Color Council, and the JCRC to present a community-wide inaugural Jewish arts showcase dedicated to the multiplicity of Jewish identities. You're invited to join us as we celebrate Jewish diversity through the arts.

One of the most consequential issues facing the contemporary Jewish community is how to show-up for racial justice endeavors. Racial equity is the defining issue of our time due to its nuances, pervasiveness, and it being institutionalized. Expanding how we all talk about anti-Semitism, racism and other forms of oppression can lead to deeper awareness, analysis, allyship, accountability, and action for justice. The goal of this event is to promote cross-racial solidarity and cultivate joy!

Spotlighting award-winning Jews of color artists, we will be uplifting local JOC voices, experiences, and stories. The event will be held Sunday, November 13, 2022, 3:00 - 6:00 at the Breman Museum on 1440 Spring Street, NW Atlanta. Some of the featured artist will be Anthony Russell, https://www.anthonyrussellbass.com/ a classically trained Yiddish vocalist, Ayeola Omolara https://www.ayeola.org/ a painter/ visual artist, and Emrah Kotan, a Turkish percussionist http://www.emrahkotan.com/bio.html

Directly after the performances, stay to learn from your neighbors. We've comprised a panel of local JOC leaders who have first hand lived experience of intersectionality, to tell their own stories. Instead of retreating from the complexities of race and ethnicity, we want to support y'all to dive in. Organizational sponsorships are still available; contact Victoria Raggs at vraggs@ajocc.org for details.

Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served at no charge. *** This event is free and open to all regardless of background or belief. However, capacity is limited, so get your tickets now.

Special appreciation to our host committee: Sammy and Tracey Grant, Gary and Michelle Simon, and The Larry and Lois Frank Foundation.
