The group was founded in 1998 by pianist and composer Warren Byrd and bassist David Chevan and has since expanded to include a diverse group of talented musicians.
The band's music draws from a wide range of influences, including traditional Jewish melodies, gospel, blues, and jazz. Their music celebrates the shared roots and cultural diversity of the Jewish and African-American communities, and their live performances are an exhilarating journey that inspires hope and joy.
